Many students/researchers (Pita, Laura, Natalie, Shuai, Kenta, Zhishun, Akio, Alexandre, Mai...) visits were possible in Japan, France and Germany,
resulting in excellent co-join papers, e.g., highly cited: https://doi.org/10.1021/acs.jpcc.5b10703

In the first Concert Japan call, our collaboration with
Hynd, Christophe and Sven was fruitfully continued...
My favorite study (since new...)
We could start new research on antimicrobial properties of photocatalysts (with great help from Agata), getting many nice results (mainly by Maya), and starting new collaborations!

Still under study...
Real fun with fungi!

Photos taken in May (left) and August (right), 2022
(little modifications of the system with a "sterilized" saw!)
Annual projects on plasmonic photocatalysis and other topics in heterogeneous photocatalysis
Many visits and new studies were possible thanks to these grants!
e.g.,
Kunlei - research stay at Paris-Saclay University...(collaboration with Hynd, Christophe and Anais), March 2019
and his additional trip to visit our friends in Poland: Marcin (Poznan), Zuza, Iza and Adriana (Gdansk) and Agata (Szczecin + nearby Berlin, DE)

Zhishun - two presentations about TITANIA (OAP) in TITANIA HOTEL at EAAOP-4 conference (poster and talk), October 2015, Greece...
(two papers published in: Chem. Eng. J. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.cej.2016.05.138;

Global Networking Award, 2014
Invited talks at:
i) 19th International Conference on Semiconductor Photocatalysis and Solar Energy Conversion (SPASEC-19), November 17-20, 2014, San Diego, USA
ii) US Naval Research Laboratory, November 21, 2014, Washington, DC, USA
To come back to EUROPE!
& to start new research with ruthenium complexes...
248666- NOBLETITANIA - MODIFICATION OF TITANIUM(IV) OXIDE WITH METAL COMPOUNDS FOR PHOTOCATALYSIS UNDER VISIBLE LIGHT IRRADIATION
After 2 years in Japan
(and before next stays)...
Preparation and properties of nano-composites Au(Ag)/TiO2(SiO2) possessing high quantum yield in the range of ultraviolet and vis radiation;

first oral presentation in Italy ...
First research stay in Japan!
First study on plasmonic photocatalysts (2005-2007)
Very hard time to get any good results by action spectra...endless repetitions...
But, finally two highly cited papers (10.1039/B917399D; 10.1039/B815679D)

Several grants as PI, co-author and performer
during and after PhD...
Many parts of set-up (Air-Sparged Hydrocyclone (ASH)) were bought.
First visit in Japan (IPS-14, 2002)
& first research stay abroad (9-month Orsay/Paris - UPSud)
were possible thanks to these grants!
